In March 2023 she had her first solo show in Manhattan, entitled Thy Myopia of Desire. This exhibition employed durational performance with interactive sculpture and multi-channel video projection to explore the dynamics of power exchange between the lover and the one whom the lover desires. The piece reveals the process of the desired body becoming trapped, leading to sensations, real or imagined, of capture myopathy.

Funk’s work has also been shown at Kaje, Peninsula Art Space, Mark Morris, the Philadelphia Fabric Workshop and Museum, the William Way LGBT Community Center, House of Yes, and Spring Studios.

Funk’s practice is currently inspired by how humans interact with their everyday environment, quantum information science, and feminine brutality/monstrosity.
